Silicone Rubber Materials

Silicone rubber is a preferred material to employ in medical and food-grade applications and environments. Silicone rubber is an inert material and exhibits superior resistance to water, chemicals and oils, and extreme temperature ranges.

Canada Rubber Group Inc. (CRGI) supplies a variety of products fabricated from a range of silicone rubber material. These products include gaskets and seals, stripping, and die-cut components and parts suited for diverse applications.

Silicone rubber materials that we stock and offer include the following:

Silicone solid sheeting. Thermally stable over a range of -60°C to 230°C, we offer silicone solid sheeting in a range of thicknesses from 0.3mm to 15mm. Our silicone sheeting is available in rolls up to 1800mm wide on selected products, and in Shore A hardness from 30-80. Silicone sheeting will handle most tough medical or gasket environments, and applications involving aggressive chemicals.  Silicone rubber is an excellent choice for applications where microbial growth is not permitted.

Silicone sponge sheets and rolls. Available in a range of thicknesses from 0.8mm to 12.5mm, we can supply kSil™ silicone sponge in rolls or up to 50mm, or as sponge sheeting. kSil™ silicone sponge sheeting range offers excellent compression properties when used to produce gaskets and seals, especially where the sealing surface is not smooth. With water absorption at <1 percent, kSil™ sponge gives excellent sealing properties from water and dust ingress, therefore providing superior protection to an application.

Silicone fabric sheeting.  We can supply silicone sheeting that includes fabrics such as glass cloth, polyester and Nomex®. This silicone fabric sheeting is available as flame retardant (FR), low smoke/toxicity (LCH), high temperature 270°C (THT) or general purpose (GP). Whether you produce high performance automotive hoses, heater pads and jackets or reinforced gaskets, we can supply fabric reinforced silicone to your exact requirements.

Silicone sponge extrusions. Silicone extrusions are closed cell silicone lengths that can be extruded into a range of shapes. These extrusions have many application benefits, and can be used for thermal insulation, vibration damping, sealing flexibility, insulation, noise reduction and thermal shielding.

Silicone rubber solid extrusions. We can supply solid extrusions that can service a variety of applications. Extrusions we can supply include tubing, cord, profiles, and sections. Extrusions can be produced from silicone rubber in Shore A hardness from 40-80, and available in translucent, white, red, or black colours. Extrusions can be fabricated from FDA-approved materials, and available in low smoke, low toxicity (LCH) and flame retardant (FR) styles.
