4 Reasons to Start Using Peel-and-Stick Industrial Parts

Adhesive-backed parts, commonly known as “peel-and-stick” parts, are those which can be easily separated from a backing and stuck into place. At CRG, we manufacture a wide range of peel-and-stick parts which service industrial and automotive applications.

Peel-and-stick parts can be made from a variety of materials and adhesives, meaning that these types of parts can be tailored to the demands of specific applications. Silicone and non-silicone elastomers, foams, and sponges are materials we often use in manufacturing peel-and-stick parts, as well as those made from specialty materials including vinyl, felt and flock, cork, and others.

Choose peel-and-stick parts when:

  1. They hold the part in place Because they are adhesive backed, peel-and-stick parts remain securely in place once applied.

  2. They can be applied quickly and in large quantities Peel-and-stick parts can be supplied in any quantity, to support applications which require a large number of parts to be placed into use. They can even be supplied individually or on a sheet or roll, to enable easier repetitive or frequent consumption at the point of use.

  3. They're easy to install within the process, or in the field In some applications, such as automotive assembly operations which take place on a line, adhesive backed parts are consumed right at the process. Peel-and-stick parts can be supplied in roll or sheet form that makes them suitable for ready use right at the process.

  4. Adhesive backing can enhance many kinds of parts and products:

  • Seals and gaskets

  • Spacers and separators

  • Pads and mounts

  • Washers

  • Stripping

  • NVH parts for suppressing noise, vibration and harshness (NVH)

  • Thermal barriers

  • Parts or strips for insulation or shielding (EMI/RFI)
