Many customers rely on CRG for the supply of “peel and stick” parts. These parts combine an engineered material with a suitable adhesive, enabling the part to be easily separated from its backing liner and installed directly into the application.
CRG manufactures adhesive-backed parts from a variety of materials, including elastomers, foams and sponges, laminates, foils and films, and other specialty materials. We work with customers to help them choose the most appropriate material and adhesive for their application, and employ the latest manufacturing processes to ensure that finished parts meet all specifications and requirements.
Advantages of adhesive-backed parts include the following:
Ease of installation. Installers and assemblers can quickly and easily place adhesive-backed parts into use.
Secure positioning. Once placed into position, adhesive-backed parts remain securely in place.
Superior dimensional stability. Some materials are prone to elongation when the finished part is being handled or placed into use. Because peel-and-stick parts are supplied with an adhesive backing, the liner provides additional support during the installation process, thereby reducing the likelihood that the part will stretch or elongate.
Examples of adhesive-backed parts that CRG can supply include:
Gaskets and seals for industrial and automotive applications. We have extensive experience in supplying adhesive-backed gaskets for fluid sealing applications, as well as seals for automotive uses, including seals for vehicle doors, hoods, trunks, and the like.
Kiss-cut parts. Kiss-cut parts are adhesive-backed parts which are usually supplied in rolls, enabling each part to be quickly and easily separated from its backing liner. In kiss cutting and slitting, parts with adhesive backing mounted onto a release liner are cut, but not cut all the way through the liner. In this way, the parts can be easily detached from the liner and placed into use.
